I don't think so. While i'm the first to bash Microsoft, a market dominance of 85 percent speaks for itself. As well try running Apple or Google (? lol) in enterprises or big companies.
They use Unix and Linux, but a secure environment without the complex rules only possible with MS server infrastructure ? Try to do this with Linux, i wish you good luck.
What i do not like is the almost paranoid mind and forensic approach of the new MS products and philosophy, or the suicide rate among MS programmers (no joke), but you got to admit those MS products mostly work

All that aside who do you want to bash if MS left the market ?!

Greetings,
Catfish

Microsoft has to pay $290,000,000 in fines?

Crikey, they may have to bust in to petty cash for that.

Microsoft has been reasonably candid about the state of the tech industry. Gates and Ballmer both warned, during the tech boom of the 90's, that MS shares were vastly over-valued as were shares for other companies. They predicted the bubble would burst with a devastating effect, but few would listen then. The other companies were to busy counting up the hoped for profits they would never see. This was repeated in the 2000's by the real estate and banking industries who also acted as if the party would never end...

By the way, does anyone know the ststaus of the patent infringement suit Microsoft brought against Apple for the "page turn" feature on the iPad and other products?...
