Only a matter of time before Microsoft got its comeuppance, but doubt they will learn from this.
Microsoft is getting more than it's comeuppance nowadays. It's in active decline. They're just floundering about buying companies like Skype they really haven't figured out a use for. It's stocks are stagnant and hedge fund managers are calling for Steve Ballmer's head.

No one is even afraid of Microsoft anymore. They still make a lot of money----so does IBM, for that matter. Actually IBM recently passed Microsoft in earnings, which tells you the state of things. But who really worries about Big Blue anymore? Same for Microsoft.

Google and Apple are the most dangerous companies now by far, in both the good and bad senses of the word. Microsoft can at best limp along afterward.
