If I had a dollar for every "End is Near" doomsday prediction I've lived through, I'd be quite well off. The most memorable one was in the late 50's when I was a child growing up in San Francisco; someone came up with a doomsday prediction and it even got significant press coverage. One of the local papers had a big headline "World Ends Today!" on the morning edition of the "doomsday". The next morning the headline was something along the line of "World Fails To End!" I'm rather sure I'll be posting on May 22 as I am also rather sure I'll see Christmas in 2012.

If the world does end I can see the modern headlines already each with the appropriate political slant.

Huffington Post
World destroyed--Women and Minorities hurt worst

National Review
World Ends--another Obama/FEMA plot?

Wall Street Journal
Planet Destroyed--all stocks down 6 7/8ths

Well according to the article, the world is not ending on 21 May 11

21 May is when people in JC's posse are carried into heaven. The rest of us will experience 153 days of death and horror until the world ends on 21 Oct.

So we have a little time.

So, basically 153 days just any other day on Planet Earth.

Yeah, pretty much.

But look on the bright side. With all of JC's boys and girls gone, it will be easier to find a parking spot!

Specifically people who believe in Jesus. Whether that qualifies exclusively as "good people" can be debated.

This will piss me off. I was holding off buying a new PC until SH6 was released. 153 days won't let us get the first patch installed or get GWx-6 finished in time.

Maybe if we all pitch in and refund the guys life savings he'll get us an extension?

I was just about to say that SH6 better include upward looking sonar and ice sounding gear as hell will have frozen over at that point.
