also i think i said it was july 1943? anyway i even tried a new campaign in 1944; i ran into a giant aircraft with all sorts of radar antennas and bombs near Loch Ew but that was it. certainly dont use any snorkels because it hinders my speed and range. There are however plenty of lone destroyers around which i pick off with the acoustic torpedo.

i am reinstalling SH3 now and im going to try the vanilla and see if there is better air traffic.
