The Nova looks pretty nice but at the end of the day you still just have a Nova.

I'm torn. I love the paint on that Nova., considering what I would do with either of those cars I'm really in no place to comment on either.
(But I'd go with the Challenger)

Nova is a mundan grocery getter in my eyes. Challenger is indicative of 'muscle car'.

The one muscle car I ever had was my first one, a used 1970 Mercury Cougar. Had to give it up as this cat enjoyed feasting on my tiny bank account too much. The grill looked cool, but the headlight doors wouldn't stay down giving the car a sleepy look most of the time.

I was going to say "The Challenger over the Vauxhall Nove every time" until I realised you weren't a Brit

Not bad, always liked the 74- longest of the vette hoods but least powerful smallblock engine of the 70's vettes. I do remember those being the first year of the emission control GM's, and IIRC the first year of the plastic wrapped bumpers.
Nice choice tho.

And the 74 still runs on leaded gas so I can't imagine its emissions controlled.
