DOH!

It is a fair cop. I may be guilty but it is society's fault. I am a victim too.

Yes. I would also add the use of numbers and symbols in the place of letters. Annoying as hell.

Consider Language barriers are one thing and can be worked with; ignorance can not.

Snicker. Nitpicking other people's writing is also an annoying online habit.

Very annoying as a matter of fact.
My annoying habit is correcting the grammar/spelling Nazis... such as I don't believe that semicolon works where you suggested

Use a semicolon to join 2 independent clauses when the second clause begins with a conjunctive adverb (however, therefore, moreover, furthermore, thus, meanwhile, nonetheless, otherwise) or a transition (in fact, for example, that is, for instance, in addition, in other words, on the other hand, even so).

Use a semicolon to join elements of a series when individual items of the series already include commas.

Recent sites of the Olympic Games include Athens, Greece; Salt Lake City, Utah; Sydney, Australia; Nagano, Japan.
Since "ignorance can not." does not stand on its own as a separate sentence, you can't join it with a semicolon.

"Language barriers are one thing and can be worked with, but ignorance cannot." would be my suggested fix, or "Language barriers are one thing and can be worked with; however, ignorance cannot be worked with."

Well, that settles it, then. I'm sending all my college papers to you for review before I submit for grade.

In all honesty, were it not for the OWL, I'd be dead in the water when it comes time to format citations.

One thing, though. It what manner would you argue that the phrase, "Ignorance can not" could not stand alone as a sentence? I see "ignorance" as a noun in this case, and "can not" as the verb; would that not comprise a complete sentence, similar to a statement such as, "I ran?"

To me it makes no sense as a stand-alone sentence (an independent clause). It has no predicate... ignorance can not.. can not what exactly? So it is telling us nothing.

People that use something like Twitter to narate their lives. I honestly doubt the world cares to know how long you were on the toilet, or what you had for breakfast.

In addition to alternating caps and substituting letters, numbers and symbols, I'd add intentionally (and continuously) misspelling words. And multiple question or exclamation marks in a row.

Modders (or any entity) putting their "names" in their projects' titles irks me as well.

That bloody lolspeak. (alright on a picture, but in the comments, no)

Yes, I know, the money machine would be capitalized: ATM. One of the things I hate is use of shortcuts in general.

Why does NSA spend so much time on coming up with codes and ciphers?

Just get some tweens to code all our secrets. Guaranteed to be unbreakable.
