Default No map contacts on RFB 2.0 + RSRD

I am trying to play my campaign with RFB + RSRD, but no matter what I do, I cannot make it show map contacts or sonar lines.

These are the only options I uncheck, and I really hope that there is a way to have them.

I set the settings the way I want them via the radio at base, but it doesn't seem to matter. My contacts are NEVER updated on the map.

Am I overlooking something?

RFB doesn't have sonar lines. You need to install another mod to get them back.

Actually I was wrong. I DLed the patch and the mod for sonar lines and I get NEITHER to show up in game even though both are DLed.

I am beginning to think RFB is not going to work.

You should be able to get map contacts with RFB. Did you install all the patches?

As WernherVonTrapp said, RFB doesn't have the sonar lines.

The first link takes you to the thread, which is fine, but the link there doesn't work. Apparently Game Front took the mod down.

I installed RFB first, then the patch, then RSRD and its patch.

Thanks, though I am still getting no sonar lines even with the mod. Oh well, I can manage without those.

Try removing the Real Environment SH4 mod. RFB already has it's own environment and running another will cause conflicts. Make sure your mods are installed in the correct order too.
