I wasn't there so I don't exactly how it went down, but I'd say it worked out pretty well in the end for both the US and UK.

I think the history channel has aired some shows about the Rev War from a British perspective. It's just too bad Jim didn't come to the last subsim meet in Boston. We were going to have some fun with him.
