Here's hoping for her safe recovery.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- The U.S. Navy says it has recovered the body of an American Sailor who fell overboard in the Gulf of Oman.
A search was launched Tuesday evening after the Sailor was reported missing from the destroyer USS Halsey. The Bahrain-based U.S. 5th Fleet said the Sailor's body was recovered Wednesday.
The identity of the Sailor hasn't been released.

Sorry to hear it.

An excellent point. Re-reading the stories I see no mention of gender. In fact it's pretty much a copy paste job from Navy Times<->MSNBC. Don't know who copied who there.

Regardless of gender, a shipmate is out there who needs help.

From MSNBC: "NBC News Pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski and NBC News producer Courtney Kube contributed to this report."
