Hopefully it's code based as opposed to hardware based, has Notch acknowledged there's been an issue, or has it been reported in the bug thread?

Dowly, what texture packs are you using? Anything 'environmental'? I see you use a different texture pack but can't find it.

I myself tried Doku's but found it makes things too 'dark' looking.

Cheers,

Krauter

Don't think it's hardware based as SP works fine for me.

@Krauter

I use Eld's Pack, great thing about it is that it's 16x16 yet still looks pretty darn good.

Oh and the ambien occlusion thingy.

I was referring to the hopefully extremely slim possibility that it's Arcs hardware cracking up.

It's been reported on the official bug reporting site.

I haven't trawled the official Minecraft forums for it recently though.

(slightly intoxicated)

I'd say the chance of it being server hardware is remote. The HDs are enterprise class; extremely reliable (though not remarkably fast).

Which reminds me: RAM has been upgraded to low-latency 800MHz, from a budget 666MHz kit (my brother finally returned my kit), and CPU is running at capacity again (downclocked it to accomidate 380W PSU, now 520W and at 2.66GHz dual-core).

So the server is at full capacity and I doubt hardware is keeping it back (I don't buy crappy hardware, you know ). Any error or excessive lag is no fault of the server.

Happy new year to all players. I appreciate your continued interest, it makes it worth it running this thing, which I appreciate since that's what it is for.

(This prolly took 30mins to write properly )

Happy New SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Ah good, Nagy, I haven't had a chance to browse the bug list, been watching Suzumiya Haruhi no Shō****su.

And thank you for hosting this Arc, it's been an absolute blast (Particularly with the Creepers) playing it.

EDIT: And lol, the censor censors the anime title.

I concur! I got minecraft MP working today so I'll return to burn my wooden castle down all over again. I believe Kolaaja will return as well.

Few more hours!
Happy New Years to All!

So what's the plan with this server? Is it being binned and a new one prepared? I hope not, I've finally got the stuff I've got to a point where I enjoy it.
