The arrow keys now control the rudder whether in periscope view or not.

Off topic - very impressive post count Steve.

Which is a pain cos i don't want the arrow keys to control the rudder. They only let you turn 5 degrees left or right anyway, and up/down arrows now notches speed setting up or down one point - from 0 to ahead slow for example.

It is frustrating when I absent-mindedly press them trying to move the scope view. I do not want my speed or heading to change while I look through the(any) scope.

I have tried editing commands.cfg but as yet no dice.

Thanks for pointing out the shift key, made a difference to use it. As for using the arrow keys. mine are for moving around the boat in the 3d view. but when at the scope they don't appear to change the speed or rudder at all for me.

Thanks again.

The commands.cfg has a rotation function with;
Num4 = Rot_left Shift+Num4 [Cmd104]
Num6 = Rot_right Shift+Num6 [Cmd105]

But it doesn't work. Also I thought keys Q and E might do it but no go on that either.

The arrow key only gives 5 degrees rudder but shift arrow is full rudder.

All the defualt key commands (even the ones that don't work) are listed in the SH5 Quick Start Guide.

i've got it working like that before (didn't like it, i like my mouse)
takes a little bit of figuring but editing the config file isn't that hard =3
( i had to fiddle with it for a good day because, being left handed i use the i, j,k,l keys like most right handed people use w, a, s, d....
and of course when i msged ubi about it they brushed me off and sent me a link on how to change from qwerty to azerty ==; SSOOOO not what i was looking for =.=)
