Any idea where I could find the reason for that?
NYGM uses the first 16k mod that was created, which was simply an enlarged version of the stock 8km one. Refelecting upon those environments that display correctly the transition, one thing I can think of are the clouds graphics (Nori.tga files in "Misc" folder). Try using the original clouds in those environments that cause trouble and see if that makes a difference
