Consider also the current workload of games currently being supported, and the magnitude of those games: WOW and Starcraft 2! Other game companies wouldn't take that long to release games as most of them only have 1 game to concentrate on at a time. It's personal taste ofc, but imho Blizz have released some absolutely wonderful games in the past, most notably Diablo series, and Starcraft 1 and 2. Blizzard have never released 2 games in the same year, and the slate indicates that. Quality, not quantity, i'd rather wait 18 mths for a xpac, or, in the case of Diablo a few years for a full game, knowing that i'm getting a great game, full of content, replayability etc etc. |

Yeah, was more in jest really. I understand why and prefer they do it like that, but on the other hand you have the stuff like CoD that gets rehashed every single year.

The reason behind the 18 months it takes for the expansion to come out is to get maximum profit off the first release.

Blizzard are my favorite developers. Didn't know about 2 more expansions coming out for wow, I thought Cata would be the last one rumor was Wow was going to end up free to play by 2012, they must of dropped that and went with the 2 more expansions then they will probably go free to play and start on Titan.

I share your sentiment, same here.
I'm pretty sure that once the last xpac for WoW goes live they will go full steam ahead with Titan, as that leaves them to concentrate fully on it. Contrary to popular belief, Blizz have a small development team, it can easily be assumed that with the amount of revenue they are generating from WoW, and to a lesser extent Starcraft that they would have a huge dev team. Either way, Blizz are a power house in game development, and with Diablo 3 around the corner, well....things are looking decidedly good for them. |

I hate it there's no Paladin.
It seems Christian phobic people are running the show nowadays. (no offense to atheist)

The Paladin will not be making a return for Diablo 3.
The Paladin was in Diablo 2, though a Paladin might be seen in the game (as an NPC?), and Blizzard has not ruled out any of the characters from returning in Diablo 3 expansion packs. One strike against the Paladin returning is that Auras will be in Diablo 3, most likely as Monk skills, which would seem to make the Paladin's best known skill type redundant. We do not need any more magical flying hammers that do damage to anything thank you very much. ![]() |
