Yeah, I have to admit, I was a DD sinking fool when I played stock. After a while, I lost count of how many DDs I sank. After loading up RFB and TMO, things were a little different. Now, my DD sinking average is a significant fraction of what it used to be. In RFB, the sub is a lot slower (turn hard, on the surface at flank speed and you'll find yourself down to 8 knots) and more cumbersome to maneuver while trying to evade, almost impossible in fact. In TMO, it's just plain suicide to try and take on a DD in a surface action.
