I recall reading about Hog pilots back in the Gulf war whose enterprising families managed to circumvent the alcohol ban in Saudi Arabia by filling Scotch envelopes (there's a pun in here I know it) with liquor and then putting another bag inside so that there was a layer of liquor between the envelope and the gift. The first pilot was so frustrated that his wife/friend had just sent him some random little nothing of a gift that he stabbed the envelope...and then it was a case of "No-one move!"
