It's not that I much liked Axl's voice anyway.
About 2 months ago at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, I saw Slash play live. Over 30°C in the scorching sun with no shadow, no wind, no rain.. just dust, sand and heat - and ROCK  Must've been two of the least comfortable days I've ever experienced, but also two of the greatest Anyway, Slash was there with some "random" dude singing, and I can't say I liked his voice any less than Axl's: Cost me a freakin' 150 bucks to be there, but it was worth every single cent of it. Awesome lineup with some great Metal (and occasionally Hard Rock) bands
