Guns N Roses: Axl Rose being well Axl Rose I guess

The singer was subjected to a hail of containers full of what promoters called "unknown substances" after arriving on stage 40 minutes late at The O2 in Dublin on Wednesday night.
Hmm, no points for guessing what the unknown substances were. :03:

I went to a Guns N Roses concert (Use Your Illusion tour) many many years ago back in Melbourne (I think near Calder Park raceway) and it was excellent. But now the guy is all washed up and someone needs to point out to him that it ain't cool to turn up 45-75mins late on stage. What a complete moron.

In the late days of GnR proper, AXL did everything he could to destroy the band, citing the other members as at fault but now, with them gone, he continues to pervert the legend of GnR.

Tw*t, he always was, always will be.

:yep:

Only one good thing came from G n R and that was Appetite for Destruction back in the late 80's.

Probably the best Album they released but it by no means contained all the best tracks. Knocking on Heavens Door, November Rain, Coma, Bad Apples....

Although agreed, Destruction is probably the best overall package.

Yeah loved the Coma track from the Illusion albums.

Just loved that band. Was a real change when glam metal ruled.

Really, talk about a band that had the world by the balls and could have obtained life long greatness such as the likes the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith have experienced. Shame really.

Frirnd of mine was at that gig, he stayed for the whole thing, said they were so crap he should have stayed home altogether

If a performer wants to be paid like a professional, they need to act like a professional.. and that means showing up for the gig on time.

They're not Guns an Roses - simple as that...

:yep: However I'm not sure Axl Rose was ever professional.

It's not that I much liked Axl's voice anyway.

About 2 months ago at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, I saw Slash play live. Over 30°C in the scorching sun with no shadow, no wind, no rain.. just dust, sand and heat - and ROCK:rock:
Must've been two of the least comfortable days I've ever experienced, but also two of the greatest:yep:

Anyway, Slash was there with some "random" dude singing, and I can't say I liked his voice any less than Axl's: Slash playing "Sweet Child of Mine" at Graspop

Cost me a freakin' 150 bucks to be there, but it was worth every single cent of it. Awesome lineup with some great Metal (and occasionally Hard Rock) bands:rock:
