it does not seem to be problems with PC,but I suppose that an account must be opened, which I did for a long time ago,the question is well if it is active,is only one way to find out this

not entirely true, when you're looking at your scores you can see "Reinforcement %", those act as tickets

But I don't think enemy control of the objectives reduces them like in BF.

In Battlefield each team has tickets that basically act as collective lives. Every time someone respawns, the team loses a ticket, and they automatically decrease if the enemy team controls most of the capture points. Once a team is out of tickets, it loses.

This. Say, both teams controls the same amount of control points, none team loses tickets unless someone dies, which, like Raptor said, is one ticket. If one team has 3/4 of the control points, the enemy's tickets keep going down unless they take control point(s) and even the situation.

@Morts

Right you are, had forgotten the reinforcement thing.

Oh, that's pretty good way of balacing unlimited respawns. Thanks for clearing that up.

Try this mod called Darkest Hour. I know you don't care, but I think it really improves RO and is worth trying.

The tank combat is vastly improved - no more silly angling - and I think the ballistics are better too. I think the tank maps are more open and allow for more long range combat than RO's. Some tanks have smoke rounds, another feature I don't recall from RO. Also, mg fire can destroy jeeps and kubelwagens, which reduces the effectiveness of the clown cars.

The graphics are also less cartoonish than RO's.

I play on the Jolly Rodgers tank server, which is full or close to it on the weekends or evenings in Europe and NA. Most players are pretty good, and it can be a lot of fun when your side really employs teamwork.

The 29th Infantry Division server concentrates on infantry maps logically enough, and is also very active. Alas, most of the ~50 other servers are empty most of the time.

Anyway, it's been awhile since I've played RO. It's hard to go back to after Darkest Hour.

I don't like DH much, but that's mostly because I'm partial to the Eastern Front setting of the original RO.

Darkest hour greatly improves gameplay on stock RO. Both versions are good, try them. Just one thing, don't expect you can rambo your way thru the maps like the Call of Duty games, you are gonna get bored with the combat realism effects.

He plays WWIIOL, so I am gonna bet he knows how to "Keep it tactical".

I fired up RO last night. I am so used to Darkest Hour now, I am having trouble adjusting back to RO.

Red orchestra 2 is on the way as well, with single player.
