I've heard of a case were a man got 4 .22 cal bullets to the back of his head and survived. Maybe it's not that uncommon? Though one should ask where that bullet came from and whether it was attempted murder or just one drunk behindhole who forgot everything about gun safety...

in "the iron coffins" you can find a short story about a shipman who shot in his head but the bullet damaged only the eye nerves. In blair's hitler uboat war u have an example of a uboat captain who shot through his mouth but the bullet missed that upper part of the spine so he had only his throat badly injured. there are plenty of photos on the net where u can see the guy who used his shotgun and/but survived. So...yeah...they were kinda lucky. 2bad JFK didn't have so much luck, qq.

You better not leave anything to luck when you wanted to assassinate an active President of the United States.

I'm sure there were most probably more than 1 class A sniper just in case the first one missed.

Great men scared the living **** of the mediocres.

My biggest loss are Martin Luther King(which I think is galaxy wide bigger than Obama) and JFK. Edit: Correction these men' deaths are the loss of the world not just for the African American then or the American public.

Had I been the one ordered to shoot these people I would think to myself before pulling the trigger that the man I was about to kill was probably an enigma and prodigy that most probably couldn't be found in even 50 years to come . . .

RIP to to both.

There was a RPD (Rochester Police Dept.) officer a few years ago who got shot in the head with a .22 by some kid. The officer survived albeit with some minor brain damage making it difficult to walk.
