Polish man shot in head on New Year's Eve,
but notices it only 5 years later.BERLIN (AP) — Police say a Polish man living in Germany was shot in the back of his head, but that it took him five years to realize it.
Police said Tuesday that the 35-year-old men was hit by a .22-caliber bullet in the western town of Herne as he was out in the street partying and drunk on New Year's Eve five years ago. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/08...s-years-later/ Note:Published August 24, 2010 |
He was obviously extremely thick-skinned

Just as I thought, actually, when I read,
But he was lucky, even a nice 22 caliber can cause damage, but he must have had proper dinghy with a mix of alcohol :hmmm:

I've heard of a case were a man got 4 .22 cal bullets to the back of his head and survived. Maybe it's not that uncommon? Though one should ask where that bullet came from and whether it was attempted murder or just one drunk behindhole who forgot everything about gun safety... :hmm2:

in "the iron coffins" you can find a short story about a shipman who shot in his head but the bullet damaged only the eye nerves. In blair's hitler uboat war u have an example of a uboat captain who shot through his mouth but the bullet missed that upper part of the spine so he had only his throat badly injured. there are plenty of photos on the net where u can see the guy who used his shotgun and/but survived. So...yeah...they were kinda lucky. 2bad JFK didn't have so much luck, qq.

There was a RPD (Rochester Police Dept.) officer a few years ago who got shot in the head with a .22 by some kid. The officer survived albeit with some minor brain damage making it difficult to walk.

I remember reading a story (not gun-related) about, IIRC, a man who had a spike driven completely through his head and came out with only slight personality changes. The human body is amazingly resilient.

Here is a picture of the then-current events, (5 years after)
*The bullet can be seen in the skin in the top-right of the X-ray.
The man told police he remembered taking a blow to the head "in 2004 or 2005" but did not get medical help and forgot about the incident because he had been "very drunk". Well,he must have been very packed and loaded :hmmm: * http://imgur.com/EFrBi.jpg |

I'm sure there were most probably more than 1 class A sniper just in case the first one missed. Great men scared the living **** of the mediocres. My biggest loss are Martin Luther King(which I think is galaxy wide bigger than Obama) and JFK. Edit: Correction these men' deaths are the loss of the world not just for the African American then or the American public. Had I been the one ordered to shoot these people I would think to myself before pulling the trigger that the man I was about to kill was probably an enigma and prodigy that most probably couldn't be found in even 50 years to come . . . RIP to to both. |
