Default I got a boat!

1998 model pontoon boat with a 90 horse outboard. I dont have a pic, but its identical to this one except with a red awning.

its easy to trim, and runs fast enough to pull skis and tubes... but the low turning radius and "strong arm" steering means my granny could ride the skis all day long without breaking a sweat.

that makes it hard to throw someone off! but we had it out all weekend and had a blast.

when the motor needs replacing im going to get a 125 horse put on.

will be a great boat for the family, and a good stepping stone for the day i have enough money to drop cash on one of these bad boys.

Always dreaming!

Those pontoon boats are great. Excellent platform for fishning or just chilling. So your not as cool as the cigarette boat guys but you got six coolers of beer, food and bait plus 8 of you buds fishing with you.

"Okay, you only get one shot, so make it count!"

Congrats on the new toy, John.

@ TLAMStrike.... is that a torpedo tube???

@ Warhawk, I'm loving it. One of those guys went cruising by in his monster loud boat that looked like a miniature DE / PT Boat hybrid and sounded like a Rolls Royce Merlin, i drooled for a second, but then i snapped back to my friends and family and thought "Im out on the lake, woooo!!!"

@Steve, thanks!

Ah thats what we called 'party barges' lots of fun very stable with easy upkeep great for their purpose.

One thing to look out for is the mechanical connections to the pontoons themselves. Often dissimilar metals are used there and lead to oxidation / corrosion espically if used in salt water.

Have fun !

Salt water will ruin just about anything in short order. Nice thing about this pontoon boat is floor boards are easily repaired or replaced. I'm thinking these are much lower maintence than the super boats. At least your not burning fuel like a mad man.

Indeed it is.

Taken from a Tuyra class Patrol Boat. (There are four, two on each side of the superstructure.)

Here is a another picture:

This bizarre craft is in service with the Cuban navy. If you look closely you can see there is a acoustic torpedo loaded, guessing a SET-65 based on the nose cone.

Nice boat, Golden. I have always desired to be a boat-owner.

This is tongue in cheek, but i heard the two happiest days of a boat owner are:

The day they first get their boat, and the day they manage to sell it.

So far she is unarmed. lol

cant wait for next weekend really. Im going to take a couple of my buds out tubing. I didnt get in the water this weekend but they all said the water was warm almost like bath water for the top 5 ft of depth.

i prefer my swimming water a little colder than that!

Default I lost my boat

I had a boat until last week when it was stolen. Hopefully I will get some back on the insurance. It was a slow going fishing jolly used for cod fishing in the Norwegian fjords. I miss it already
