Ah thats what we called 'party barges' lots of fun very stable with easy upkeep great for their purpose.

One thing to look out for is the mechanical connections to the pontoons themselves. Often dissimilar metals are used there and lead to oxidation / corrosion espically if used in salt water.

Have fun !

Salt water will ruin just about anything in short order. Nice thing about this pontoon boat is floor boards are easily repaired or replaced. I'm thinking these are much lower maintence than the super boats. At least your not burning fuel like a mad man.

Heh there is an advertising campaign here in Florida "Every day is fishing day" in florida. To which I respond.. sure I'll see you out there in February

We sailed year round in the bay and let me tell you the winter months could be downright brutal. Nothing like sailing in 40 degree temps with the wind blowing at 20+ knots and large chop on the bay. Everything gets wet and stays wet.

Blimey Jim, not this year, it's been gorgeous - mostly. Until my holiday at the end of August, then it'll return to normal!

Don't forget your shake-down cruise in it, including practice crash-dives...
