I think we have a fellow traveller in our midst...

What's next? Roundabouts and you spell the word "colour"

Someone actually said this to my dad when he was stationed in England.

At first he was like

But then they clarified things a bit and he got another interesting lesson in how England and America are two countries separated by a common language.

He also found out right quick after arriving that calling someone a "booger" was not quite the same thing in London as it was back home.

Actually tea is properly served the Southern way.....

Sweetened and Ice Cold.

However - I do like a spot of sweet Earl Gray, piping hot - on occasion.

(Unsweetened tea - I mean - whats the point???)

I once was sharing the 'differences' with some people I worked with, when one woman asked me a question. She said she and her husband had been on a cruise ship and some English travellers suddenly gave her a strange look. She was still trying to figure out what she'd said to offend them, so she innocently asked me:

"Do you know what 'bugger' means?"

This is where you break out the "Well, you see, when two men love each other very much..." speech.

No, I just casually said something about doing it the way the gay boys do it...

I've seen women blush before, but never quite that color. I would describe it as "tomato red".

At first glance, I'd say some researchers have been pandering to the tea council for research funding and bbc needed a story. A number of health benefits have been attributed to tea, some genuine, some not, but at least as many health maladies can be attributed to caffeine alone.

One way or the other, I shall continue to enjoy tea the way it is best enjoyed; unsweetened, and ice cold, served in a tall glass
