I'll take the sailboat in the first one. Much more economical and seaworthy!

excellent choice, the shipman series.
completelly carbon fibers, no fiberglass. stronger and lighter than fiberglass boats. first sailboat with a retractable keel for docking in shallow harbours and especially usefull for those secret spots that no other sailboat can reach. plus a complex control system that allows for only one crew member (electric winches, onboard computer for automatic sail adjustment) and of course Luxury with a capital L, L for ladies
The shipman 150 model (52m length) costs € 36 000 000, and people order them like bread

for 10$ I could weld 2 barrels on your car. I get barrels for free, the chemical consumption is outrages here and the less barrels that have to be taken away, the less a company pays for removal. And a 4m two-by-four screwed onto the roof for a mast and you're set to go. just steal a tablecloth from your grandmother for a sail

The big problem with carbon composite masts is that they can and will conduct electricity... Ill leave the rest for you to figure out.

Yes, but that electricity is power that can be harnessed and used to keep batteries recharged for those days when the sail can't be hoisted. Beats, sitting dead in the water anyways!

the masts are electrically isolated from the rest of the hull. Its basicaly a lightning rod by itself, connnected to the keel which directs the power into the sea and not the boat. and there's an outer coating of some chemicals, which I am not paid to know about, that also insulates the composite from any power sources

the batteries themselves would need a seperate boat to carry them, to store that much power, if you had lightning in mind
