Search the archives. There's been oodles of speculation, assumption and guessing, but not one person has ever quoted hard facts either way as to whether removing the deck had any effect on performance.

Accordingly, in the absence of cold, hard data, SH3Cmdr does not adjust performance. And I'm comfortable with this approach; the way I see it, any increase in performance achieved through removing the deck gun would be more than offset by the decrease in performance achieved through upgrading the Turm/Wintergarten...it works both ways, yet I never see anyone asking for a performance decrease when they load their Uboat with Flak Guns...

You now we "move slow here" so that's the way the test is different in many way,
