Unless you know what a "Janus error" is, you probably shouldn't presume to speak on behalf of the entire world.

I had SH2, atleast i could play it (used to laugh on LAN multiplay when the ships wouldn't sink, just kept bobbing up and down), I can't play SH5 at all, to me SH5 is the worst hands down!

The vote hasn't been unanimous? I guess I need to get my eyes checked.

I guess you do.

69.9% of 103 people (as of now) is not the same as unanimous.

I would bet a number of the people who voted for SH5 probably never even played SH2, especially in multiplayer.

When one game out of five, gets 70% of the vote. That's pretty darn unanimous to me, sorry.

Unanimous means that everyone chooses the same option. Un-amaorous yes, unanimous, no.

You guys can post dictionary definitions and hair split all you want, doesn't change the fact that one game out of five got 70% of the votes all to itself. Unanimous? Heck yes.

Yet still, in a much more real and correct sense, no.

I understand the point you are trying to make, but you communicated it poorly and it caused some confusion which needed clarification. What you meant is right, but what you said is not.

Anyway, all this is extremely subjective.

I did try the game and didn't vote cuz too bored with all those polls (I would have vote for SH4).

And how many members here have voted for a game which they didn't even give a try ? ...

The operative words there being "to me", and thanks for that. It drive me nuts when someone presumes to speak on my behalf.

Aside fom the constant Janus error crashes, people forget that if you were in an encounter with a DD (or several DD's) and you saved your game, the DD's would all go brain dead, lose you and leave. You could surface right in front of one that was previously using it's lazer beam sensors to locate and kill you and, after a save, it would ignore you completely.

I remember trying to sort this out during Projeckt Messerwhatsitsname and I don't think we ever did get it fixed.

As well night attacks on the surface, which are fun in SH5, were impossible in SH2 due to the fact that all of the merchants in a convoy were equipped with several ace level lookouts each. That meant in a convoy of 20 ships you had hundreds of top notch lookouts that could see as well in the dark as they could in the day.

Sh2 (prior to Pacific Aces) sucked.
