![]() It is a very popular mod and one that would be recommended as an addition to the 'base' mods' Below is an image of the mod in action, which I am sure you will agree looks amazing compared to the default effects! - http://img293.imageshack.us/i/damege5lj9.jpg/ And here is the link to the download - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...do=file&id=962

Hi All,
Thanks for the welcome i feel at home already, To Jangles, yes i feel the same as you, i can't believe i have not seen these Sub sims considering as i said i have played Ship Sim 08 but by the look of it this sim should keep the old grey cells working for some time to come, Cheers, Roger.

Hey Roger,
I'm new too, about a week of SH3 so far! I was never interested in u-boats or naval warfare until watching Das Boot, and then promptly got SH3. GWX is great ![]() The only other 'essential' mods I have found to be are GUI mods (mostly if you're using manual targeting) - I like ACM-GUI Reloaded - h.sie's edition - and the 'no continuous 'ship spotted'' mod which I find to be very helpful. Already I've started reading all I can find on my bookshelves about U-boats, and I've ordered three books ![]() Happy hunting ![]() |

It is not a novel,it is a technical manual and really does help you implement some of the tactics into your game improving your overall prowess and attacking efficiency quite dramatically. http://www.amazon.co.uk/U-Boat-Comma...8&sr=1-1-spell Order now while you can, this is a rare find and probably won't be in stock much longer!.

But order it through amazon via http://www.subsim.com/store.html that way subsim.com gets a tiny bit of profit and can keep up the excellent work!

zxc23,
Iron Coffins (which i've had now for about 4 years or so) is a good book no doubt about that, but it is important to note that it is more centred on Werner's personal stories and experiences in the war rather than containing much tehnical material (if that is what you are after, however there are a few tehnical drawings at the front of the book),and there has even been debate as to the accuracy of some of the author's experiences, maybe some of them were elaborated to thrill the reader more, but still a great read! and a sad one at times. ![]()
