The post office WANTS junk mail. With email all the rage, the postal service is losing a LOT of money and junk mail helps to pay the difference unfortunately.

exactly what i been sayin... what a rip off.

When they go from being a legitimate operation to just a circulator of pointless crap it is beyond time to pull the plug.

Today, i have converted all of my home and business bills to online pay and billing.

The post office now has NO reason to come here anymore.

if it werent technically federal property, i would remove my mailbox.

I will trade my junk mail for your telemarketers any day! I just love messing with those guys, but most of them stopped caling me when they figured I was completely bat-stuff insane, a Russian mobster, a Chinese cleaning lady, a German "doctor", an American Indian guy named "Ren and Stimpy", a Mexican migrant laborer who doesn't speak English, or Donald Duck, to name a few. You can also tell them that they've got the wrong number. That usually works pretty quickly, but it's not as fun.

When my dad was older and retired and home all day he used to love to mess with telemarketers.

The only time I pick up the phone is when I notice I'm getting repeat calls from what looks like the same place, at which point I get curious and also figure that *maybe* if I pick up I can give them reason enough to stop the calls.
