Well if it handles differently at different depths, then perhaps you can have positive bouyancy at shallow depth and negative when running deep... Always wanted to see this feature, though, after seeing Run Silent, Run Deep.

Actually what I'd like to see is a randomized version. Maybe have a greater chance of the correct behaviour at the correct depths, but also have a random chance of the boat going up, down, or not at all. Reflects imperfect trim.

I'd settle for anything that requires forward momentum.

look in the submrine folder for each sub and IIRC its the .sim file

Seems I have to keep the boat at 4 knots when deep or it will continue to go deeper.It's a fine line.Hate going over 2 knots as the tin cans are able pick u up easier.I do a lot of short burst of speed,and then turn engines off.Thermal layers don't seem to help much in SH5.
