Hahaha...

Pulling Palin quotes.. classic..

and 'slips of the tounge' I do admit he is quite competitent with that teleprompter its when he goes of script and slips thats the problem

It's not the first time wont be the last by any politician anywhere anytime. But there is a certain level of... well ... cluelessness.

Come, now - the politicians in the great nation of Europe don't seem to have that problem.

Few and far between? Minus a prompter, he's almost as bad as Bush, actually. He makes a different kind of gaffe, but they are gaffes none the less (W's tended to be in usage, Obama gets the facts wrong (other than all the ums))

Um, ah, um, ah...

He's not the great speaker he's made out to be. I'm not being biased, I'll not disagree that W was embarrassing many times.

Obama campaigned in 57 states. He felt bad about the 10,000 tornado deaths in one small town, too (12 died).

A few golden ones courtesy of google:

“The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries.”

“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

“I’m always worried about using the word ‘victory,’ because…it invokes this notion of Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur.” (that should get LOLs in this forum anyway)

On translators in the war:
“We only have a certain number of them, and if they are all in Iraq, then it’s harder for us to use them in Afghanistan.”

I actually saw Palin speak the other day in a live interview on Arizona's new law. She had no teleprompter and was actually quit articulate. I was impressed after all I had heard about the lady. And yes she's hot...that helps!

Maybe some of them in attendance fell down in the crowd?

Actually it's a pretty austere example of old school speech notes. You know, that organizational aid people have always used when giving speeches?

You should note that's totally different than just reading the whole speech on a teleprompter while pretending to look sincerely at the audience. The former requires intelligence, the latter requires only acting ability.

"Illegal" does not mean "criminal". For instance, if one were to be guilty of jaywalking, they would have done something illegal. However, they would not have committed a crime.

"Illegal" simply means something contrary to the law. "Criminal" pertains specifically to that which is an offense against a criminal code, or criminal law.

Again, this is why I support Arizona's law. I believe that being an illegal immigrant should be criminal.

It is, but it makes sense.

A great practical example is on a job application when it asks if one has even been convicted of a crime. Employers probably care about, say, theft, but not about going 45 in a 30.

perhaps.

but the last three job applications i have filled out in the previous 6 years have all specifically said

"Please INCLUDE any and all traffic violations, vehicular accidents, OR any motor vehicle infractions of any type which resulted in a conviction."

other requested disclosures were the typical felonies AND misdemeanor offenses.

I get your point but that's a bad example because many employers in my field will not hire people with speeding tickets on their record, not if they're going to be driving company vehicles...

EDIT:

to Obama's credit... he didnt mess up his "facts" because they are facts he is making up.

the man flat out LIED to race bait our nation into further division. Its THE ONLY THING HE IS GOOD AT
