Russian players have access to a lot of things, chief amongst them is pirated games of every sort, so I don't know yes or know if this patch would fall in this category, however the two years I lived there, it was next to impossible to find a REAL version of a western published game. I'm hoping its just been released for testing there, but would seem strange.

Russian users have the same access to the internet as well as you...
except for some "your" sites closed for the russian users...

... and russian users have received localisation of game from Buka much later...
than you have received the original version.

The point is, Buka is apparently selling, on disc, a non-released version of the game that has such critical features in it that without it the game is essentially unplayable out of the box.

If patch 1.2 had come out on April 12th as promised, there wouldn't be a problem with this. But we were told there was a localization problem with it which would take a week to fix.

A week passes and we're told the patch still isn't ready.

Another week passes and we find out a localized version is now available retail in Russia, but there's been absolutely NO communication about this vital patch to the rest of the world which is nearing 3 weeks overdue.
