Truth is all that is said here, even my comment is speculation. But I'd rather have positive speculation over negative any day.

Come on folks, you have to look at the world with better eyes than that.
You cant just keep seeing and speaking so negatively, life's too short.
I agree !

Hopefully they added the toilets too !
It's a real pain to have to surface everytimes Bernard need to do his thingy.

Keep the faith !

Yes I for one am feeling positive about the patch, especially because it's delayed.
The list of fixes is obviously larger than the one we already have seen, and thats a BIG plus. And I cant help but get this feeling that something special to us may well be in it.

But thinking positvely and always being hopeful is how I live, and I believe in what Pancho Barnes used to say.
"When you have a choice, choose happy."

Maybe they decided to remove DRM at the last minute because the game sales have choked.

my biggest hope is that they've included an AI 'difficulty' setting - Elite escorts are my want!

I find it amusing to see the rampant speculation as to why the patch is late; however, it shouldn't be a guessing game. Ubi announced that it was to be released on a certain date. If the patch gets delayed for release on that date (and it has) then Ubi should step up and at the least provide a new release date, or more respectfully to the 'investors' of the game, explain why there is a delay.
But to be silent and let the rage grow reveals poor support and a lack of marketing judgement.

Seems to me they dont have to announce it, we've done a pretty good job of that.
And if they did, who thinks that would change the way folks talk?
Thats right, it wouldn't change a thing. People would still bitch, and still ask why.
And the same thing would be true, and even worse had they delayed the release of the entire game period.

People would still be in here whinning "Where's the game, you said March 4th, it's now April what are you ingrates doing?"

So why try to diffuse a bomb that has already gone off?
And besides the negative folks I've seen here and at UBI's forums will find something wrong with anything they say, and dispute and argue anything they say.
So thats why they dont say.

So it is now the paying customers that have to make announcements of delays in patches.

You know what WOULD have stopped me bitching? A game where planes don't ignore you. A game where destroyers actually try to chase you. A game where I can't go into Scappa Flow at flank speed, spend my torpedo's and leave without issue.

Not true. My complaint and many others who are ligitimately upset (not the usual BOYCOTT UBISOFT crowd) is the fact I paid full price for a game that is not worth playing. As I wait for patched I notice the price dropping. I also notice the reviewers giving the game a pathetic score due to the bugs. This would not have occured if it was released in a better state hence I wouldn't be here typing rubbish replies to posts that make me angry.

Yes people would be whinning that UBISOFT charge full price to a game yet obviously don't put full funding into development. Do you not feel you deserve to "GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR?"

So the companies policy is to ignore upset customers? Are you a politician?

It's UBISOFT's responsibility to keep paying customers updated as to when the game will be brought to a standard where it's worth paying for and playing. To say they don't have to announce it because everyone here is doing it... I can't reply to that comment on this forum in the way that it deserves... I guess a company that due to it's lack of health and safety practices caused the death of an employee wouldn't need to comment as the media would do that for them as well. (Extreme comparison but the meaning is the same)

I don't mean any attack on you by the way. Simply expressing my view to the many people like you who remind me of this:

Well ya could have fooled me, looks like an all out assult actually.
Nobody's ever dissected any post I've ever made, anywhere, on any forum like that. And then added something like the above to the end, wow.

But to be a good sport, I'll say if you changed that sand to virtual seawater it'd be closer to the truth.

Welcome to the internet.

You must expect some kind of reply when throwing around words like "whinners" and "bitching".

I simply decided to put forth my thoughts on each part of your post. If you prefer I called have simply written one word.

FANBOY!!!

Please just understand that people are simply fed-up of the gaming industry these days. Ubisoft arn't the only ones to release unfinished/unplayable games and it does get frustrating.
