Itīs supposed steam applies last patch ( if you check that option in menu) automatically.
Modding is quite easy as if you have the physical copy installed.

Ah, thank you, this is the answer where I was waiting for...
Now I know that I don't need to have internet acces every time I want to play. So only when I ruined my copy by wrong way of patching and/or modding, I simply can download a new copy of Sub Command. So it is just like I have a copy on disk wich I can install on my computer.

Right?
