Do you know:

if I buy a game by STEAM (I like to play Sub Command) , do I have unlimeted acces to their servers?
Or do I have to pay after a while for acces?
Do you have some more information, because I think, the site tells not everything.

Pay once, you get to install an unlimited number of copies on an unlimited number of machines and can download it whenever you want to.

Of course, don´t expect to find a SC server on steam ( or anywhere else).

One question still: How does patching and modding go??

Easy

It´s supposed steam applies last patch ( if you check that option in menu) automatically.
Modding is quite easy as if you have the physical copy installed.

Ah, thank you, this is the answer where I was waiting for...
Now I know that I don't need to have internet acces every time I want to play. So only when I ruined my copy by wrong way of patching and/or modding, I simply can download a new copy of Sub Command. So it is just like I have a copy on disk wich I can install on my computer.
