Jimbuna, at first i just knew you guys would be back. Then i started to believe you in saying you weren't. Now i'm thinking i had it right the first time. You know, I wouldn't mind that at all, i'd get to enjoy the game for no effort for once! All id have to do, is sit back, be patient, and D/L the cool mods. I like that idea! GWX is coming back right?

I'm only looking at the files because that's what I'm good at.
It's the way I enjoy the Series.
Once I figure out how to do the techie type stuff?
I'll post that information.
Heck,
I'm already working on a new program to assist everyone.
As for any return of The Grey Wolves?

I'm not aware of anything serious.

I would think that really does depend on Kpt Lehmann.

But GWX is just a name people keep throwing around, and what's in a name? Was the sum of the whole greater than the parts? Possibly. Possibly not. The whole may or may not resurface, but as you see the parts are still around, and still doing their thing. And if they should end up reuniting with the same or with other parts, it may be called something different, or it may not, but it can still end up being a new, and hopefully better whole.

And if they don't unite, but keep working separately, or in smaller groups, there's still hope.

I'd say the future looks good for SH5.

Would be happy to see someday in the game. Haven´t bought it yet but already yelled at a friend who bought it during his first mission in SH V: " Front nach Backbord! Trottel!" while he was returning to Kiel . *G*

Truly a shame that they didn't included them. And as most people have said, it is up to the modders to "finish" that game.

I'm only interested in getting the model import trick down.
Any long turm () modding is beyond me.

I prefer to jump around now.
Maybe even finish something!!

I agree that the future looks good for SH V.
Many good people are on the files like flies on ... well you know!
I have downloaded everything I could grab on Granny files.
Actually had most of the stuff over a year ago!

I have converted some test models to GR2 and Hexed them into
a working GR2 file.

Goblin sees them.
The Game sees them.
So I'm on the right track.
It's the details I need yet!

At this moment in time the answer is still 'no' and my previous answer remains unchanged.

I subscribe to what Steve has just posted but would add one small detail/change......

Having spoken to KL two days ago on TS my belief/understanding is that

a) The position remains unchanged.

b) With the fullest respect and consideration to KL, I doubt that this would be his sole decision anymore but more likely the collective decisions of former Grey Wolves because to all intents and purposes the Grey Wolves disbanded after the release of GWX3.0 and during the early developmental phase of a planned GWX4 release.

It is gratifying to witness the return of friends such as Privateer and BBW, especially when you see them weaving a thread or two of their old magic but, as great as this is and whilst giving all due credit and recognition to the quality of their work and skills, it is little more than that.

I don't believe we are witnessing the formation of a team of such a magnitude as that of the GWX team.

I'll be more than happy to stand corrected if this is not an accurate statement, but as I said earlier, I spoke to KL in person on voice comms two days ago and The Lair has been down due to technical gremlins since this morning so I am unaware of any changes if they have been made but I am 100% confident KL would telephone me informing me of any change.

Come to think of it, perhaps there is one concept you've not considered....could it be possible we are witnessing the formation of a totally new modding team?

Now that's something I've been hoping for more than the other. Though either is fine with me.

I'm simply speculating now but we could be looking at the first introduction of Privateers Pirates or Big Boy Woolys Brigands.

What say ye mateys?

The rest of the above is Ducimus and me having a bit crack....following your progress/tribulations over at The Lair with interest, now that it's back up.
