Sound Effect sticks in loop

Some times when Creaks_Level3.wav runs it sticks in a loop. I use Poul-Sound_for_SH4 from AoTD and the file itself is 4.5Kb in size (Very cool Dos Boat effect where the skipper says "::calm whisper voice::Don't be afraid, it's only the preasure...".).

I checked my *.SDL files using S3D and it is not set to loop anywhere.
Is it the files size that is causing this to happen or something else?

Thank you in advance!

This is a problem that has stricken more than one great sound mod.I don't think anyone has fixed it,I just keep going through the sound mod and testing until I find the one that sticks and remove it.

I really think it has something to do with the file size. When I put the Creaks from ROW sound effect back it, the problem goes away. I like these sound effect changes more so I am going to edit the sound file to reduce the size and see what happens.

there's a limit for the sound length of 15 sec.,
i think file size doesn't matter that much.

There is a 15 second limit to sound files. If they exceed that you will get a looping or "banging" effect on occasion. Another side effect is it will play once, and never again.

I am currently working on a U-boat Ultimate Sound pack with the 15 second limitation in mind.

*actually ... I am almost ready for release ... just need to contact a few folks and continue testing a bit more*

Do you mean the Paulsen Soundmod V 2.0?

If so, then yes I have checked it out.

The filename is Poul-Sound_for_SH4. I found it at the AOTD website.
