Breaking the street date is a BIG fine $$$$$ (at least in the U.S.)
but I dont think it is really enforced Wal-Mart and gamestop routinly break the street dates

The guy at Gamestop told me that breaking the street date on a game is a fireable offense.

It seems like EB Games in Canada has the wrong date in their computers, they handed SH5 over without hesitation, the guy said "oh, it released a few days ago"

Spent a couple hours with it. Most of the fears ( other than DRM ) most of us have been concerned about are unfounded in my first impressions. We can still control things pretty much as in previous versions except DIFFERENTLY...Some things more intuitive, some less..Make no mistake, there are annoying little struggles to make happen what you want to happen. ( Still can't get the observation 'scope all the way down! )
Bottom line, IMHO, there's a lot of playability here once we adapt to a somewhat different approach to the sim..but a lot of the changes are based on former version wishlists. The devs have given us more content, however, if part of their intent was to widen the appeal to FPS arcade crowd, it's minimal . I'm sure there aren't enough rivits or the right colors here and there but I served on British "A" boats which were VERY similiar to the VIIC and I'm not distracted enough by those elements not to say this SH version makes you feel more part of something that happened in history......

Some people also said that there was only few bugs/giltches from their first impression.

I'm really looking foward to confirm if all this is really true. If it is, it's really gonna make me chuckle...

How is the server thus far as far as up and down time, being that we have to be connected to the internet the whole time? Granted population may be low at this time but am curious.
