No, they're not top-heavy in any way, something that USN ships have historically been notorious for.
Briefly saw Daring on trials off Arran during the famous mile run, though not in an official capacity ("Warship, warship, we are a coastal crabbing boat, pulling in our pots now"...for the next 45 minutes while everyone gets their phonecams out ![]() EDIT: I should add that there is a reasonably well-known route near the builders mile-run that, if hit juuuust right, will add about an extra 1/2 knot on to the the trials speed of a surface warship...not that BAE or VT (or just about any other shipyard from the last 90 years) would be so unscrupulous to do so, you know...
