If the picture (with the arrows) is meant to show a wardroom, it's wrong. The Wardroom would be on the port side (left) and there would be only ONE bunk with a (detachable) table in front. Usually the Chief engineer would sleep there, but when he doesn't it would be the wardroom!

Cheers
Marc
Not according to the blueprints which show 2 tables + sets for movies like das boot and (sorry) u-571 show 2 tables and 2 seating areas. Although only 1 table should be a fold out one and the other should be static.

As it can be seen in DAS BOOT the officers eat at the location I described (where the broadcasting radio and the little puppet is - the puppet Lt. Werner touches and says "ohh!"). There might be another table, where a commander would not sit down.

Marc

PS again: I've seen it in U995 many times.

I cant think of a reason why they would leave it out but it seems like they did. So forget an ACCURATE intereur model. I guess the captain just had to in eat his bunk as far as the dev team is concierned.
How can you notice things about a cutting board and miss that an entire section of the boat isn't there? I don't see how if true this could be an accident. Just more rust holes filled with Bondo.

Most certainly this will not be corrected by the devs. Well we now officially have something for the modders to fix!

I'd be happy just to see some "life" in the torpedo compartment.

Lets put this out there so the devs can fix it in the first patch.

This is like a Trekkie discussion... "no, no, no, the turbolift is five metres from port maintenance duct 72, look, I've got the official blueprints as revised by..." :P

Looks a lot more authentic IMHO. Nothing can beat an enthusiastic modder's work.

Complaining about it is fine, but "forget ACCURATE model"? "big FAUXPAS"?

That's just a little extreme.

big faux pas? NO

If they left the wardroom out that takes accuracy away from the sub model big time, but they managed to put some annoying cook in asking you to sample his soup .I mean come one, they give us ONE sub in SH 5 and don't bother to include the wardroom? Not extreme, just the truth.

SH3 was the first subsim to have a 3D crew, and for many it was nothing more than an opportunity to complain about the way they looked.

SH5 gives the gamers what they wanted - a complete walk-through. So now there are complaints about...well, just about everything. I agree that I would rather have it be more to my liking, but it's supposed to be very easy to mod these things. You're right - complaining about it isn't extreme. But you're acting like this is a game-killer, and that is extreme. It's just a stupid graphic.
