I see the deck gun casting a shadow, as well as some of the dockside equipment.

Not the guy standing on the dock, though.

I assume these are baked shadows (static shadows)

thy guy is maybe animated, so he needs dynamic shadows, either in this preview version not yet implemented, or generally regarded as unnecessary.

I mean then you would have the ultimate harbour experience when leaving and entering port! and enter the u-boat exacly like they did in the pens in das boot! I mean i dont understand why this is so hard to implement since we allready had spy,s/commandos on the deck in stock sh-4 .
