How quickly can you give all the orders for firing multiple eels at multiple targets while making course/speed/depth changes if you have to do all that in first person at different stations?
kinda like they had to do in real life eh?

i suppose the interface would be limited in that there would only be dials in the persicope view for setting AOB and target speed etc.

once you set the AOB for example

the weapons officer repeates the AOB and says that it is set.

you go through the sequence until the firing solution is ready.

would be a helluva neat way to do it i think... and would prevent a lot of these arcade 350K ton patrols we hear about

I doubt that's the way it's going to work. I'm sure visiting the torpedo room will just be to say "Hi" to the crew and boost their morale a little. Just if you're there when a ship is sighted you'll have to go all the way to the bridge to look for yourself, not just hit 'F4'.

If I'm wrong, they'll hear from me.

Wait a minute, I just said I wanted my orders relayed and obeyed from the command room. I didn't say nothin' 'bout not bein' able to teleport myself to the bridge.

Fine, you try going up and down that ladder in heels and see how easy YOU think it is.

If I were Kurt "steck sie rein" I would worry more about whether or not it's possible for testicles to redescend from that far up in one's rib cage.

have fun sending your crew to bed. while you tell them a fairy tale, Tommy will bust your Tin can open with a few direct hits!

But the Option of "i have spoken - make it so" aint the worst one.
when the Kaptn was in the tower looking out, all he had was his mouth to relay the information, no? and this is/was sposed to be a recreation opf the Uboat waffle...
