[WIP] how to set up two bow torpedo rooms on the IJN submarines

right,

I need help and then some in setting up a second torpedo room in the IJN submarines.

The Type C2 submarine (I-47) had eight fore torpedo tubes, as did the Sen Toku, which were set up in two torpedo rooms one on top of the other, each housing 4 tubes.

for accuracy's sake I'd like to set that up on our boat, and increase the complement to 101 crewmembers.

I know it's something to do with the upcge etc.. but I always get lost in those files...

All the aft torpedo tubes are rotated 180 degrees to face aft. Face them forward and convert the aft torpedo room to a second forward torpedo room.

right, that's some help but I really meant is for the damage screen and crewscreen so that another room appears and gets damage separately, I already have the 8 tubes facing forward

Setting up the screen above is fairly easy, but you may have a problem with the torpedo screen, and the sim file, you can't split the forward torps of bunkers. You could try it to see if it will work if they are both the same type of room, but I never tried it.

The upcge is set up in groups:

[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 5] The compartment
[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 5.CrewMemberSlot 1] The crew in the compartment
[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 5.EquipmentSlot 1] All the equipment in tha compartment, you have to split up things like diveplanes, hydrophones, you can't have two sets of each item.
[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 5.WeaponSlot 1] The tubes, 4 in one 4 in the other.

But now you come to the problem: Bunker

[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 5.Bunker 1] You can't have two forward bunkers, and you can't use an aft bunker to reload a forward tube. You could experiment to see if they will both load from the same bunker.

So basically to try it, just copy each one above for the Bow Torpedo Room and Change the "name displayable" and see if it works. You will need to renumber the compartments to get it to go where you want it.

I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try.

If you need some help let me know.

this is the setup on a Jyunsen B, I didn't have good enough a blueprint and legend so I couldn't figure out the rest of the stuff

there was an aft quarters and two bow ones, not represented ingame..

so we actually are missing areas that can be damaged and that help with the overal flotation of the boat

there is something on the blueprint aft of the stern quarters, some kind of machinery ?
