I think so, Dan said medium should be doable on 8800GT (iirc, correct me if I'm wrong). Seems like that changed to 8800GTS, but that's just 1 step up. Overclock a 8800/9800GT a little and you get the same performance.

GTS250 = 9800GTX = 1 step above 8800GTS 512
For what it's worth, I've got 8800GTS 512 and I'm not worried.

*All the upcoming games, such as Mass Effect 2, the new AvP, Bioshock 2 and SC Conviction, have a 8800 as recommended. My guess is you'll get decent performance with that in SH5 as well, or Ubi would be shooting themselfs in the foot. They can't expect everyone to upgrade just to play SH5.
