I recognise the part with rolling in the snow and then getting back in the sauna, my mother used to do that. And also the part with the vasta/vihta*

That last sentence. This may be totally wrongly translated but I'll try.

Kaunein = bended form of kaunis = beautiful?
kuunnella = to listen?

kieli = language or tongue
kuningas = king?

It's beautiful to listen to the language of kings.

Is that right?


Quite a tricky language due to the many endings added to words.

FYI, the Finnish/Estonian word kuningas is quite similar to kuningaz, a proto-germanic word which preceeds the modern English word king. Kuningaz - cyning - king.

Or something like that.

It must be tricky to learn for a non native speker. But when you get it, you will find that its very flexible in every day use.
