I asked whether aircraft carriers would be able to launch their planes, and whether torpedo boats would be able to launch torpedoes. Neither question has been answered.
There are a lot of very good questions that have gone unanswered.

this is true but at this point it no longer matters because the game will be available for sale in 5 weeks so wait for accurate answers and avoid bad info or guestimates.

some things were told to us that they were in the game but are now known not to be in the game after all so even ubi has had things change since the first answers were given.

OH my God, Nothing satisfies you all does it.
That pretty much sums it up, yes.

It's a pity... this used to be such a fantastic community. Hope it will rise to its former glory again when SH5 comes out, the u-boats go out on patrol, and the modders get to work on their various projects.

These are the questions that they chose to answer, out of all the options they had available.
Given that the full interior of the u-boat is one of their major selling points, I'd think that questions about the interior of the u-boat would have some kind of, you know, priority.

Honestly still don't see the problem. I mean, how many of you hate Falcon 4.0 Allied Force because you can only fly variations of the F-16, with the plus side being a nearly 100% complete cockpit with every switch, button, dial and computer feature implemented? Lemme see a show of hands.

You do make sense. I love Falcon and I like the idea of a study sim that focuses on detail and accurate systems.

The big question and worry, however, for me is that we have really no idea if there is ANY increase in detail or accuracy with anything in SHV. We may end up with a study sim with nothing to study! I have compared this to Falcon not simulating fuel. It just wouldnt be right. I dont mind the fact that we only have one u-boat type but it should be very detailed systems wise.

Do you know the history of Falcon 4.0: Allied Force and the company that was formed to develop it? They were a group of modders who got a license to develop the orignal game and fix all the nasties. Is that what you think will happen with SH5?

Absolutely no disagreement with this statement...assuming that SH5 turns out to be every bit as comprehensive as Falcon 4.0: AF. I have stated elsewhere that if SH5 turns out to be a proper study sim along the lines of Falcon 4.0 or similar games, then I think the majority of player concerns surrounding the one U-boat type will quickly disappear. Because for SH5 to achieve the same status as Falcon 4: AF, then all the major issues that have been raised over the last few years regarding the gameplay elements will have been addressed. I mean, one can't just limit the playable models to one to claim study sim status.

If, however, SH5 turns out not to be a true study sim, then your comparison is apples and oranges: you may as well ask Lada drivers to stop complaining about having no air conditioning because their cars still have the same number of wheels as Rolls Royces.

Now remind me, how many pages is the Falcon 4.0: AF manual?

760

I think the ongoing comparisons to Falcon 4.0: AF need to stop until we can assess how detailed and comprehensive SH5 is with just the one U-boat type...and this means beyond the pretty 3D interior...only then can we be sure that we are comparing apples and apples.

so, no more questions need to be answered? that means, some dumb, green and hopeful sim fans first need to buy this game, to give the missing answers??? i dont see the sense in your statement.

its cheeky, not to let us know, what is exspecting us - questions where asked more than enough. the mainstream may not care (but even they might be more interested, as one might think) about details. but that does not legitimate ubi, to make such a bad information policy.

i am a more ambitious customer, than most of the main folks and want to know, what i am buying for 50 bucks. its not like buying some icecream, which might be not that tasty, as i exspected.

it is obvious im saying you will have the game long before you get your questions answered from ubi so stop thinking they will finally answer your questions.

you can continue asking the questions if you want to but ubi has told us all they are going to at this point

so if ubi isnt telling you anything where else can you get the answers to your questions but from someone who has the game on their computer

I hope the devs dont read this thread...they DO put alot of dedication into its creation and go into great lengths to make the best sim, but like so many other things they are restricted by boundries not under their control.

I care. I want them to be motivated to do their best in building this game. Some of these comments here would make me think "Why do I even bother working nights and weekends on this game - the community dont even acknowledges the effort the dev team puts in this"
