It's the Cyrillic font for SH4. The previous mod (BFB English Menu) was incorrect according to sergi and didn't work right.

I loaded this new mod up yesterday and saw the same thing you describe. A bunch of "iaaiaaaiouaii" gibberish just like before. Went back and re-read all the treads and found that i had missed the font file mod that Poul provided. It works for me now.
