Thanks for the info, the 1280x720 is a lot better.

Hi all! All is fine, very cool...but turm the geometry is not correct.
Pay attention at what height the antiaircraft machine gun is located. The turm should be corrected. Compare to the original on drawings and archival photos! Sorry for my bad english.

I know I'm impressed. I can't understand how anyone could have anything negative to say about these shots!

AMAZING!

Some of you guys are being way too nitpicky... what we're seeing is a great improvement over the predecessors!

What really bugs me is that people are passing this off as eye candy... in fact I hate the term "eye candy" because it is always used in such a dismissive way.
Graphics are an integral part of realism in my opinion. There is no way we could have the immersion we want with the wire-frame graphics of the early 90s.

And for Dowly, and any other doubters... the sunray effect in real life, with clear skies over Melbourne...

I think that UBI wants to show all new graphic effects in new SH5...

But I disagree with you about rain. Water drops hit in your eyes directly or from splashes - you must protect your eyes by hand, wink (see by very thin gap) and you visibility is more hardly... so it is impossible to show this effects on your "real" face.

Do not be too critical.
The best way is when UBI adds this effect (and you can turn off it) than UBI does not add this effect (and you cannot turn on).

I hope that we will have this effect not only when rainy but when fast speed and big waves like on this screenshot:

For ALL:

This film is not captured from the game, but this is "3D engine demo" only...
So please without hard criticism...

This demo is available at youtube as HD quality too:

WOW, very good.
Of course, it is a matter of taste, but I would place graphics at 50% or more. If a game doesn't look good, I find I loose interest rapidly. I hope the game has a lot of bugs and the developers give us the ability to fix them with mods. Realistic game play is important: 50%.
