I'm playing paintball in a couple of weeks for my bucks day.

i hope to god the fellas don't bring something like that!

Sounds like the paintball arms race is alive and well. I used to play back when hopper feed pumps were just taking over from the tube magazine pistols. I can imagine that given a paintballs lack of ballistic stability being able to hose your opponent with automatic fire would be a huge advantage.
