Had the same thing happen to me when I encountered the Warspite, and I had taken out destroyer at least 2-3 minutes earlier. The entire time I was expecting frigates and destroyers to come down on me furiously, but not a peep out of any of them, although the convoy did start to take evasive action.

Very odd, but hey, I wasn't complaining.
