Anytime I think of a supreme graphical representation of receiving awards/promotions, Red Baron and Red Baron 3D always come to mind. Sadly, there's a shortage of that kind of quality in games today. Or hard work for that matter. It's always left up to the modders now. Devs like Damon Slye and Dynamix were praised and loved for one reason: they produced damn fine work.

I've gotta say, this thread has reminded me of everything I loved about Microprose simulations of the 1980's and early 1990's. They always had medal screens and stuff. Remember Gunship 2000?

Microprose, Strategic Simulations, Westwood Studios, Dynamix, Sierra...

Given your post in this thread and the big wave thread I guess you'd prefer it if everybody just shut up and didn't discuss or speculate about anything.
